No Longer Sushi Virgins

Long time no see. Sorry we haven't posted much lately. It's been a weird spring (not just weather wise) and so we're hoping to get back into the blogging again.

We did go out to dinner last night with our Read and Feed book club (where we mostly feed, but hardly read)to Zen Asian Bistro and Sushi. Let's just say that Jonathan and I are no longer sushi virgins. We enjoyed everything that we had, but forgot to take the camera with us, so gee, guess we'll just have to go back again.

Thanks for being patient with us, and hopefully we'll be up and blogging more again soon.

  1. People often think that all sushi contains raw fish, and that scares them. Sushi is a general category of to vinegared rice rolled in or around nori (seaweed) and also containing other stuff -- raw or cooked seafood, roe, vegetables, egg, tofu, etc. Raw fish, by itself, is sashimi, and raw fish and rice is nigiri sushi. It comes in (large) bite-size pieces along with soy sauce to be mixed with wasabi and pickled ginger.
